Accommodation

Chelinda Camp overlooks a crystal-clear dam with panoramic views, isolated ridges and open high-altitude grasslands. The camp has two accommodation options, which include four chalets with two bedrooms, a bathroom; lounge, dining area with a fireplace and a small kitchen. The other options include six en-suite rooms with twin beds, which share a dining bar and lounge area and complete comfortable furnishings and an inviting fireplace for those cool evenings.

The Common Area

The camp features a main area designed as a gazebo, which includes the reception, bar, dining area, and reading area. The tents and deck areas are ideal for those looking to relax during their vacation.

Food & Drinks

Meals are saved in a cozy dining area equipped with own fireplace. The camp is ideal for families with children, school groups and travellers seeking a comfortable and affordable stay on the plateau.

Amenities

Wi-Fi - The camp offers a complementary Wi-Fi around the camp.

Bar - There is a pay at the Camp. Drinks on the evening drives are added to the bills.

Electricity - Is through generator which runs between 18:00 and 21:00 hours - with paraffin lamps and solar used thereafter. Plugs in the rooms and chalets

Water - Water is supplied from the mountain streams and is filtered. is heated by wood boilers (wood boilers only burn non-indigenous pine)

Laundry - Is provided on a daily basis (weather permitting) and is included.

The Park is a popular bird watching destination with over 400 bird species recorded including the rare Denham’s including the rare Denham’s bustard, the wattled crane and other endemic red-winged francolin in the grasslands, cinnamon dove, bar-tailed trogon in the upland forest, while black-backed barbets and red and blue sunbirds move through the miombo woodland canopy.
